Hotel Vagabond
Singapore
Hotel Vagabond sits in a shophouse row in Jalan Besar, a small property with an outsized visual personality. The interiors were conceived as a single theatrical gesture — saturated colour, brass, velvet, oversized objects placed with deliberate excess — and the hotel has run an artist-in-residence programme that keeps new work moving through the building. Room counts are modest, which is the point: the scale lets the design register as a whole rather than as a lobby effect that fades upstairs.
