About

What Seeny Hotels is, how entries are chosen, and what the site deliberately leaves out.

Seeny Hotels is a small editorial index of hotels that are interesting for structural reasons: the art they hold, the way they compress a room down to a berth, the gaming floor they operate alongside the front desk, or the fact that the whole building melts in spring.

The index is organised into four categories and nothing more. Art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels each get a page, and a property appears because it sits clearly inside one of them. That narrowness is intentional — a list that tried to cover every kind of hotel would say very little about any of them.

How entries are written

Every entry is a paragraph of prose plus a handful of short factual tags. We describe the building, the setting and the format of the stay. We stay with general characteristics that hold true over time rather than details that change with the season, and we do not publish anything that would need a citation to stand up.

What is not here

There are no star ratings, no review scores, no ranked positions and no guest reviews — invented or otherwise. There is no booking engine and no availability calendar. The site takes no commission and accepts no payment for inclusion, which is also why you will not find a rate anywhere on it.

Geography

The index is not tied to any one country. Properties are grouped by what they are, not where they are, and the four category pages each draw from wherever the format is being done well.
